Get prepped for a culinary masterclass as ‘giggling gourmet’ Jenny Morris and spice prince Reza Mahammad introduce six new pupils at ‘Jenny and Reza’s Fabulous Food Academy’ to the best of the world’s cuisine. In these brand new episodes of their exciting series the duo kick off with some dishes from China, as they prepare a feast that’s fit for an emperor: lamb ribs with a hot and spicy sauce, sweet Chinese chicken, and a quick and easy side dish of fried vegetable noodles. Then it’s a hop, skip and jump to the Land of Smiles, Thailand, where Jenny and Reza introduce their pupils to chicken Penang curry, pork and prawn balls in a lemongrass-infused broth, before a refreshing salad of pineapple with bean sprouts. With a light-hearted approach to cooking, and a world of experience to draw on, Jenny and Reza demonstrate that with guidance even the most inexperienced of chefs can produce dishes that will leave their diners demanding more.
Jenny Morris, also known as The Giggling Gourmet, is a celebrity chef and radio personality from South Africa. She opened Cook’s Playground in 1997, operating it as a cooking school and catering company. Jenny has wri en four cookbooks, Rude Food, Nude Food, Good Food in 2004, More Rude Food in 2006, Cooking with Jenny Morris in 2012 and Taste the World with Jenny Morris in 2013, as well as regularly contributing to magazines including the South African edition of The Oprah Magazine and writing a weekly column for an entertainment guide in South Africa. She is also a presenter on the radio station Cape Talk, where she discusses both food and romance. She has hosted two series for Food Network, Jenny Morris Cooks Morocco and Jenny Morris Cooks the Riviera and has recently been a judge on the extremely successful, fast-paced culinary game show, Chopped South Africa.
Most recently Jenny has co-starred with good friend and fellow Food Network star Reza Mahammad in Jenny and Reza’s Fabulous Food Academy. Friends from the moment they met, Jenny and Reza combine their extraordinary knowledge and passion for food by opening the doors of their Food Academy. Jenny and Reza teach six would-be chefs to create a delicious feast, along the way passing on inspired hints, tips and techniques on how to cook like a professional, their aim is to demonstrate that with a li le know how all of us can produce delicious food.
