In this show, it's all about making things modern and Siba's giving seared tuna and crushed wheat salad a fresh spin. Then she's exploring the Cape Town Asian food and flavour explosion and whipping up incredible sweet sticky ribs.

Episode: Superfast Sunday - 13:00 18 August

Siba's throwing a superfast Sunday lunch, with an Asian vibe. There's fabulous roast fillet, amazing fried calamari and a fragrant sauce that's made in minutes, and on the side, a quick Asian ribbon salad and cheat's sushi rice.

SIBA MTONGANA BRINGS MORE VA VA VOOM IN A BRAND NEW THIRD SERIES OF SIBA’S TABLE

Following the local and global success of Siba’s Table series one and the award-winning series two, we’re bringing you even more Siba! Across ten episodes, award-winning South African chef Siba Mtongana will give traditional food a modern makeover and her signature ‘Sibalicious’ spin.

In Siba’s Table Series 3, the dynamic Siba is back in the kitchen, whipping up an array of delicious fusion dishes to serve her friends and family. Siba will get behind the braai, cooking up some Greek-style lamb with special guest chef and MasterChef South Africa Judge, Pete Goffe-Wood. Chicken gets a peri-peri makeover when Siba joins forces with the other queen of South African cuisine, Ina Paarman and Siba goes head-to-head with acclaimed chef and owner of Cape Town’s The Test Kitchen and The Pot Luck Club, Luke Dale Roberts.

Siba also takes on her toughest critic – her nine-month-old daughter – with some kid-friendly snacks for a family photo shoot and shares some of her food styling secrets when she gives beef carpaccio and spicy chicken tacos a presentation makeover. There’s a lot more to enjoy, including braai pork sliders and sides, international favourites like poke and Australian wagyu steak, and some romantic dinner date delights that are sure to set the scene for love, as Siba surprises four of her friends by setting them up on a group blind date.

Series one and two of Siba’s Table are amongst the highest-rating programmes on Food Network South Africa and have since gone onto become global hits. Siba’s Table series one and two were the first South African programmes to be broadcast on US Network, Cooking Channel with the second season winning a 2017 Silver Screen Award at the US International Film & Video Festival amongst other shows such as Barefoot Contessa and Pioneer Woman.

Siba’s new series will premiere on Thursday 7 September at 8pm on Food Network DStv Channel 175.

Siba Mtongana is a young and dynamic food enthusiast who has brought style and charisma to the South African television food scene.

Siba’s Table debuted in September 2013 airing in over 90 countries across Africa, Europe, Middle East and Asia. Siba’s Table is now airing in over 128 countries, including the US where the franchise is broadcast to 60 million homes on The Cooking Channel. Following its success, Siba has now appeared in Siba’s Table: Fast Feasts, Siba’s Festive Table and the second season of Siba’s Table. Siba's Table Season 3 will air on 7 September 2017. In addition to hosting her own shows, Siba has appeared as a judge on the extremely successful, fast-paced culinary game show, Chopped South Africa.

Siba holds a degree in Food and Consumer Sciences, majoring in Food and Food Science as well as Nutrition. She specialises in recipe development, food writing and food styling, and has won three prestigious Galliova Awards for her food journalism and her involvement in the South African food arena.

Siba believes in giving back and is now a patron for Foodbank South Africa, an organisation that  ghts against hunger and malnutrition through food rescuing programmes whist working with other community based projects helping those a ected with HIV/AIDS.

In 2014 Oprah put Siba on her prestigious O’s Power List which pays tribute to women from the African continent who, through their lives, are inspiring others to follow and fulfill their purpose, as the truest version of themselves. 

Siba’s recently released cookbook, ‘My Table’, has become an instant hit. ‘My Table’ has made history as the best-selling cookbook ever to have been stocked by retail giant, Woolworths SA. Thus far it has sold over 33 percent more copies than any other cookbook Woolworths SA has ever carried! It also won two awards at the prestigious Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in China.

Following the huge global success of the first two series of Siba’s Table, Food Network will be bringing viewers a third series! Siba’s Table series 3 will build on the popular format of Siba’s Table and will air on 7 September 2017.
