For the bread pudding:

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, plus more for the dish

8 croissants, sliced 1 inch thick

3 large eggs plus 3 egg yolks

1 1/2 cups whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup sugar

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

170g milk chocolate, cut into 3/4-inch pieces

 

For the sauce:

1 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons light corn syrup

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

112g dark chocolate, chopped
