Ingredients

For the dulce de leche:

  • 300 ml tinned sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup  whipping cream
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar

For the cupcakes:

  • 18 flat-bottomed ice cream cones
  • ½ cup unsalted butter , room temperature
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1¾ cups plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup  full-fat milk, at room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the frosting :

  • ½ cup unsalted butter , room temperature
  • ¼ cup dulce de leche
  • 2 cups  icing sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Dulce de leche or melted chocolate, for drizzling
