1 recipe Multigrain Waffle batter, recipe follows
Vegetable oil
6 Tbsp pure maple syrup, divided
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 Tbsp salted butter
2 1/2 cups whipping cream
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/4 cup spreadable maple butter

Multigrain waffle:

1 ½ cups whole-wheat flour

¼ cup cornmeal

¼ cup old-fashioned rolled oats

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp kosher salt

½ tsp baking soda

1 ½ cups buttermilk

3 Tbsp grapeseed or vegetable oil, plus more for brushing waffle iron

3 Tbsp packed light brown sugar

2 large eggs
